celebrity lunch!

today we were eating lunch in the teachers' lounge when a couple of men walked in carrying a big wendy's bag.  they asked if they could join us and the other teachers said, "sure!  of course!" and acted all excited.  i had no idea who they were and why they would want to eat with us.  i noticed they were wearing matching blue jackets that said news on 6.  then it dawned on me....they were the people doing the weather program for our kids that afternoon, and the other teachers were excited because they were the meteorologists from news channel 6 here in tulsa.  (i didn't know them because i watch channel 2!)  anyway, the chief meteorologist, travis meyer, sat beside me.  jill was on my left and she leaned over and whispered, "i feel like we're having lunch with celebrities!"  then a lightbulb, actually more like a camera flash, went off in my head....this will be my picture of the day!!!  

so i turned to travis and asked, "will you take a picture with me having lunch with you so i can put it on my blog?"  the poor man, all he wanted to do was eat his lunch before the program started and here was some crazy woman wanting a picture for her blog!  but of course he said, "sure!"  we were just going to use jill's camera phone because she had it with her, but our principal told us to wait and she would go get her real camera!  so then we had a little mini photo shoot going on!  he had to take his picture with 3 other people while he was trying to eat his lunch!  i bet the next time he goes to do a weather program, he won't eat lunch with the teachers!

{if you look closely, you'll notice that i even put my hand on the man's shoulder like i knew him or something!!!  what was i thinking?}
