when i got home from school, i turned on the news, and the crazy weather had spawned a tornado in edmond, oklahoma! i had no idea! so i immediately called mom to make sure she and dad were ok, and she said the tornado was a few miles north of them (too close for my comfort) and did lots of damage to a really wealthy neighborhood. all of this happened right around the time school gets out, so all those kids were stuck in their schools having a tornado drill (duck and cover) only it wasn't a drill....it was for real!! how scary for them! i have goosebumps right now thinking about all those little ones who were probably terrified, wanting to see their parents, but couldn't.
a good thing from today was that our awesome PTA brought sweets for all the teachers! there was chocolate everywhere! i had so many sweets during my conference period that i didn't even eat my lunch! check out these yummy yummies!

the one on the right is 2 peanut butter cookies filled with some sort of heavenly chocolate stuff. of course there is a chocolate covered strawberry {they also had dark chocolate ones, but i ate it before i took the picture!} and the other cookies is a mint chocolate cookie! it was awesome!

Yummy! You got spoiled yesterday. Lucky you! Glad to hear your family is all ok. When I heard about the tornado there I was worried for them. Lisa H. :o)
