it's been a good day.  not too much drama at school.  the lights got fixed today, so i didn't have to teach in the dark. (our trailer/classroom blew a fuse yesterday afternoon, and it didn't get fixed until this morning.  we had plenty of light to work by because i have 3 windows, but the way the kids were acting yesterday, you'd think we were at the bottom of a cave or something!)

the varmints got much-needed hair trims this afternoon.  i would have gone much shorter, but i can live with the fact that they don't want their hair touching their ears!

on the way to get spencer's supplies for his kaleidoscope project, we passed this friendly little guy....what is it about people dressed up like this that just makes me smile?  i love it!

then i got to hang out with my friend, lisa, tonight.  we had chinese food and then went shopping for yarn!  i know, i know....we're real party animals!  we found some awesome suede yarn at big lots for $1.50!  score!

when i got home this precious little note was hanging from a string tied to colby's balloon:

quote of the day:“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”

Harriet Tubman (1820-1913); American escaped slave, abolitionist, humanitarian
