duck.....duck.....goose!

thursday afternoon, the boys and i went to the park to feed the ducks and geese! the weather was actually above 40, so i couldn't resist getting out!

when we got there, the ducks and geese weren't anywhere near us. but within seconds we were surrounded! the geese actually seemed to fly straight at us {which sent colby screaming and running!}

colby's tactic was to throw a cheez-it and run!
spencer was a bit braver. he actually let the geese get a bit closer to him, but not much!

these ducks were beautiful, but it you got too close they hissed at you!
these two ducks made me laugh! we were almost out of food when these two finally got out of the water and run toward the rest of the crowd! i imagined them shouting, "wait! we're coming! save some for us!"
i was afraid i was going to have to rescue colby from the water! he just yelled, "c'mon ducks! let's head for the pond!"

this duck in the back obviously thought something was funny! he's laughing!

ducks everywhere!!!

this next duck is my favorite! he's all splotchy, and he's got this little tuft of hair that sticks up on the back of his head! he came closer to us than any of the other ducks!

he's so cute! i want to take him home!
